Hi there! 

My name is Emm, my artist name is Skylar. I am an independent musician from Guernsey with a passion for storytelling. 

I am trying to raise funds to produce a music video for my song, “Empty Chair.” I am making this music video as a passion project with an amazing group of creatives who feel that music can foster dialogue around difficult social issues, such as climate change and sexism, and that visual storytelling can help raise awareness of these issues. 

The genre of the song is alternative cinematic pop. We are inspired by Cyberpunk visuals.

The goal of this music video, in addition to communicating a message, is to use metaphorical imagery, as well as elements of performance, to create a visual representation of the message of the song. 

Right now we’re in pre-production and the funding will help pay for locations for shoot days (location fees), cast, catering for crew, and rehearsal space. 

 Once the finished music video is released on YouTube and TikTok, it will reach as many people as possible. I greatly appreciate any financial contribution to support this project. Donors will be recognised in the video description as a thank you for your support of independent music artists and creatives.
