Ruth Mathison Hanson Everson was born on December 3rd, 1916 in Grove City Minnesota and passed away on October 31st, 2021 at age 104 years at Koronis Manor in Paynesville, MN. Ruth was an avid musician and played piano and organ throughout her life. As a "People Person" enjoyed bringing music to everyone through hymns, popular old and new pieces as well as taking special requests. The song most requested for Ruth to play was "The Old Rugged Cross". Her skill and ability to improvise added quality and strength to her playing. She was a popular piano teacher for many years and had taught over 400 students. Many of her students were the sons and daughters of former students, now parents.

We are setting up a Music Scholarship Program in Ruth's name to be awarded to graduating seniors who well be attending a higher education institution to study and perform. Your Memorial gift will add to her legacy as well as help an aspiring new musical artist. Thank you in advance for you gift.
