The mission for this project is to get the message God has given me to the people who need it most.

WHY

Prisons across America are filled with people who have been defeated by the limitations of life, and don't know how to do anything else. I used to fit into that category. I have, however, outgrown that category. Although I'm currently incarcerated, I no longer believe in limitation. Yes, you heard correctly. I'm currently in my 16th year of what was until recently a life sentence, surrounded by concrete and razor wire, unsure when I'll ever get out of here - and I do not believe in (trust in, submit to, or promote) limitation.

The first 35 years of my life I was lost, and being lost brought many negative results to my life. Probably the worst of these negativities was the plethora of limiting beliefs. There were so many lies I believed about myself that I had no idea were actually restricting my true potential and purpose. I believed I was something that I am not, and this belief prevented me from trying or even thinking I could be more. This limiting belief, and others like it, resulted in a series of life choices that ultimately led me to prison with a LIFE sentence.

But then, 8 years in, God came down into my cell and told me who I really am, and who I am not. And that's when everything changed. I now believe with every ounce of my being that I am a child of the most high God, made in His image, imbued with His divine nature His own special treasure, created for the purpose of reflecting His character into the world around me, and that NOTHING - not not the haters, not the devil, not the System, or even the concrete and razor wire - can stop me from accomplishing whatever my Father wants me to accomplish. I am limitless.

For the last 7 years, the message God has tasked me to deliver to the prisoners around me is that we all have a purpose much greater than the bad decisions that we've made, and if we'll make the choice to figure out what it is that God wants us to learn while we're experiencing the consequences of those decisions, we will OUTGROW our limitations and begin moving toward our potential and purpose!

In order to deliver the message God has given me, I've had to develop my character and my skills while I have an abundance of time to do so. In this pursuit I have become what I call a Growth Facilitator, because growth is my LIFESTYLE, and I am always somehow striving to facilitate growth in others as well. I'm a motivational speaker, I often speak at church when asked, and I'm a facilitator for multiple programs - such as The Redemption Project, The Alternatives to Violence Project, and Communication Breakdown, all self-awareness and personal development programs.

And, by the grace of God, I also happen to be pretty good at making music, which brings me to the reason I'm seeking funding. I've been rapping for 20+ years now, and for the majority of that I had the same poisonous message that the majority of rap is today, a message that promoted the same destructive lifestyle that led me and so many others to LIFE in prison. Now that I have a different message, I believe God wants me to get it to the people who are where I once was. My lyrics are written from the perspective of someone who's been there and done it, got out, and now wants to bring others with him. Music is the ministry God has tasked me with, at least for now.

I recently recorded some music the quality of which was certainly not a reflection of the ability God gave me, and now that I've found what I think is better production, I believe God wants me to try again. THEME

I'm undecided on the title of the project, but it will be called Pressure Makes Me Fresher, or G.R.O.W.T.H. (Getting Rid Of Worthless Thinking Habits), both of which I have songs for. Either way, the overall theme of the project will correlate with those songs, which are about making a lifestyle of personal growth, and striving to be better every day. The songs on the project tell the story of where I'm at, how I got here, where I'm going, and that we all were created for a much higher purpose than whatever limiting circumstances in which we find ourselves.
