Hi My name is Kevin & I'm an independent musician artist and writer from Worcestershire in the UK. I'd love to be able to create full time but financially that's not viable for me at the moment. My artist name is Jack Tuffy & The Psychic Pirates.
I write music that is socially conscious; songs about the current political climate, working class struggle & songs that attempt to appeal to the better parts of human nature. An example of this is a song I've written called 'Fishing For Stars' - my dream for this song is for it to feature a full choir and to make this an uplifting anthemic message to try to push people to keep love in their hearts. Obviously using a full choir is likely to be expensive but I live in hope that I will find a way, somehow..
I've been funding the creation of my music by selling my artwork. I turned 50 in November 2025. A few weeks prior to my birthday I broke my ankle, which made life a little difficult for a while; this coincided with me selling my first piece of artwork - I was actually in casualty and my ankle was being manipulated and I was on the gas & air when I sold my first piece! I've always been a dreamer and will never stop dreaming as long as I draw breath.
I've recently set up something called 'Outlaw Music'. My mission with Outlaw Music is to curate Spotify Playlists featuring Independent Musicians. I've also created a piece of artwork with a QR Code in it, I intend to offer this artwork to venues that play music, such as bars, cafe's, music venues, hairdressers & basically anywhere that has a PRS for Music license. My thought process being if they're going to play music in their establishments then why not play local unsigned artists that need the exposure, rather than artists that already have a massive platform.
I'm not really expecting to receive any donations on here, but I thought I may as well give people the option to donate if they can afford to and wish to do so. If you do donate, thank you from the bottom of my heart!
