MusicCan was created by Glenn Marais and Manny DeGrandis to help provide everyone in Canada with the opportunity to acquire an instrument and receive lessons on the instrument of their choice. They have played together for over 20 years and through this enduring partnership, they have witnessed firsthand the power of music.
MusicCan honors the memory of Glenn's brother Andre Marais' who passed away in October 2020 and who shared his love of music with Glenn and everyone who knew him.
MusicCan has ten students currently enrolled in lessons with brand new Yamaha guitars.
MusicCan purchased 30 Djembe drums and percussion kit are for a community program that will be stored at Maple Leaf Public School. Glenn has been teaching and running the drum program at Maple Leaf for over six years and the drum purchase has been a huge boost to the school.
