I'm Eric Quay Evano, a musician based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I'm a grieving father and a grieving artist.

My dearest, beloved 19-year old son Quasar Evano passed away last year on April 1, 2026 and my whole world was shattered into a million pieces. I started working on my second album when my son was still alive but when he suddenly died, I had to stop due to financial and emotional reasons. We were both excited for my second album because he was supposed to play drums on some of the new songs I've composed. My son was an insanely naturally gifted drummer and we were also excited that we were forming a band and will be performing together in future shows. Sadly, that won't happen anymore. And it's a pain that will be in my heart forever.

Ever since he died, I've composed so many songs about my Beautiful Boy (that's what I lovingly call him) and now all those songs are going to the second album. The album will be called "The Most Beautiful Star in the Sky" after the song I composed for my son many years ago. Music has always helped me heal and working on this album will definitely heal me.

I don't usually ask for help and it may not be the best time to ask for help but I really have to finish this album as a tribute to my son Quasar. I know my late son would want me to finish this album. It's been a very tough, sad year for me but everyday I try to live for my daughter, for my family and friends and for my music and art.
