It is with deep sadness that we share the sudden passing of our dear colleague, Musa Buyinza, who died at home in Uganda on 18th April.

Musa was not only a deeply respected Global Emergency Advisor and EcRec expert with DRC but also a kind, humble and inspiring human being. Those who had the privilege of working with him will remember his calm presence, insightful mind and unwavering dedication. He brought a quiet strength and positive energy to every room he entered and his impact stretched across many of DRC’s country offices.

He was also a beloved husband and father, and his sudden loss leaves a profound void in both his family and our wider community.

We are raising funds to support Musa’s family during this incredibly difficult time, to help cover funeral expenses and any other immediate needs they may have. Your contribution will go a long way in easing the burden on his loved ones and honoring the memory of someone who gave so much to others.
