Seeing people I knew struggle deeply, watching my 27-year-old younger brother undergo a pacemaker procedure, and losing a colleague before he ever reached retirement age shifted my perspective completely. It forced me to ask a difficult question:

If time isn’t guaranteed, am I truly spending mine doing what matters most?

In December, I made the decision to part ways with the motor industry and pursue photography full-time. This isn’t a sudden idea or a passing interest. Photography has been a 15-year passion—one I’ve developed with limited gear, tight budgets, and relentless determination. Now, I’m ready to build something sustainable, creative, and impactful.

My current gear is over 10 years old and limiting the quality and efficiency of my work. Funds will go toward:

This upgrade will immediately elevate image quality and expand the types of projects I can take on commercially.

2. Editing & Workflow Infrastructure

To deliver professional-level results, I need the right digital tools:

A high-performance laptop capable of handling professional photo editing software

This ensures fast turnaround times, reliability, and industry-standard output for clients.

3. Building a Legitimate Photography Business

To operate professionally and attract clients, I need strong foundations:

A professionally built website

Branded email system

Landing pages for client bookings

A CRM system to manage inquiries and workflow

Marketing materials including business cards and branded hoodies

This will allow me to present myself credibly, streamline operations, and generate consistent revenue.

4. Travel & Portfolio Expansion

To grow creatively and commercially, I plan to travel to new locations, collaborate with other creatives, and expand my portfolio.

Part of the funding will go toward:

A small campervan to create a mobile base

Travel expenses

Location shoots

Mentorship opportunities for aspiring photographers

The campervan isn’t a luxury—it’s a strategic investment. It reduces accommodation costs long-term, allows flexibility in location work, and enables me to build diverse content across the UK and beyond.
