Transsexual Psycho Bitch Murder Party was filmed in 1976, screened once and then long buried due to it's "offensive portrayal of the transgender community".

When a young, trans film student learns about the film in the present day - she attempts to track it down to see for herself what all the fuss was about. What she discovers though, is much more complicated. Was the film's burial done to suppress it's power? Where is the lead actress now? And why does she feel a sudden desire to kill?

The Film:

The full short film will be 30 minutes in length, and cut between the present day and the 70's style exploitation film Transsexual Psycho Bitch Murder Party. The film is a satirical, dark comedy about trans representation in the media. It will be very funny and violent.

It will be written and directed by transgender comedian and TV writer Jen Ives (jenives.net)

A note from Jen:

So often, the stories we see in the media about trans people aren't told by trans people. As a result, they lack creativity, risk and impact. This film will be unapologetic, funny and proudly over the top. I want to celebrate our culture in a diverse, eyebrow raising, bloody way (just in time for Halloween). Risks and challenges

The main reason for the raising of the money is to fairly pay the actors and crew in the production of this film. It's low budget, so we will be operating on a lot of good will, but the more we raise - the better we can make the film - expanding sets, costuming and crew. We are going to make it regardless, but we'd like to make it stand out.

The money is to pay crew, actors, secure locations, buy costumes and get a bit of new equipment (camera).
