The Story
This psychological dark comedy follows Evie, a young waitress, who grapples with reality during a chaotic dinner rush at her pizza restaurant. In dealing with horrible customers, a micromanaging boss, and an unexpected visit from someone in her past, Evie’s built up trauma begins to boil over and her perception of reality becomes disillusioned. But when she’s pushed too far, Evie takes her own spin on “the customer is always right.” - and it tastes just like chicken.
In the spirit of 80s horror, Murder Pizza takes from the campiness of notorious slasher films such as The Evil Dead, as well as psychological thrillers like Natural Born Killers to enhance the off-kilter nature of Evie and her struggle with her mental state.
