Our dream is to inspire the leaders of tomorrow.
Murals for Change combines art, activism and mindfulness to empower future leaders. Our workshops provide a safe space for people to come together, explore their creativity and channel it into creating meaningful change. We use collaborative murals to show you don’t have to be a professional or know what you’re doing to make a difference - all you need is the courage to start.
Help us fundraise to deliver:
- A program that emphasises the ability art has to deconstruct complex issues, making them easier to understand and provide hope to create solutions
- 10 collaborative mural workshops in 2020
- Speeches to as many schools/communities as possible to raise awareness for activist causes, inspiring hopeful action
- At least 160 future leaders directly through workshops
- 20 artists through employment opportunities
- Countless others through the flow on effect
Every $5 puts a paint brush in a hand, and with it, the hope for tomorrow.
What if we reach our goal?
The more funding we receive, the more impact we can make! Funding gives us freedom. Freedom gives us power. That power is something we intend to give straight back to YOU. The sky is our limit with how far we can take this, and our dream is to cover as many walls as possible with HOPE and MEANINGFUL IMPACT.

Who is a future leader?
A future leader can be anyone. From our courageous youth to emerging and established professionals. MFC provides a platform to talk about how we can make a change by coming together. We will be primarily targeting the youth and rural communities to amplify causes and voices, however, are planning to expand opportunities to all demographics (pending funding).
Murals provide a fun and long lasting platform to advocate for meaningful causes - both on a local and global scale. Sustainability, equality, breaking down stereotypes and stigmas, climate change.. you name it.
We want to spread this message as far as possible, connecting with as many real people as we can. We have already been invited by a number of schools and community events to share this message.
The importance of Creative Industries
This program will invest funding back into the creative industries both through inspiring emerging artists and employment of artist facilitators. The workshop content encourages the importance of creating with purpose holding space for a very important conversation of the value arts bring to the world.
Our founder Montana comes from an established background in Environmental Engineering, art, activism and working in the public eye. From representing the largest animal rights campaign in history at the United Nations headquarters to stage talks with peppermint magazine. She has also used her social platform to encourage hundreds of thousands of young women to make more informed choices with sustainable/conscious living, mental health, equality, body positivity and more.
Montana and her little family will be hitting the road in 2020 delivering these workshops from a converted bus. They have done this to significantly reduce the costs of travel and accommodation, leaving more resources to be dedicated to spreading the program far and wide.
"Our deepest thank you's to everyone who has come along for the ride.. We can't wait to connect with you all IN PERSON next year."
