My name is Robert Bentley, I’m a mural painter in Indianapolis, Indiana. This mural was painted 8 years ago by me, on the back of Pierre’s Barbershop at 34th and Central. The wall has sustained water damage and I have taken on the task of restoring my work. The building owner has had the gutters repaired and has given me a small budget for supplies, but the damage is extensive. Pierre is a humble barber and cannot afford much more for supplies, and I will definitely not have enough left over to pay myself for the labor. I looked into grant programs, all of which are unfortunately reimbursing rather than upfront funding. So I’m hoping I can gather some funding from the community.
