Donald Venerable was wrongfully killed by Sacramento Police Department for holding a cellphone that was mistaken for a gun on February 9th, 2001.

We are approaching the 20th anniversary of my father's death on Feb. 9th, 2020 and as a dedication to Donald Venerable's legacy, I am asking for the community help me fundraise $15,000 to support a mural project of Donald Venerable to honor his life and legacy. The city of Sacramento has denied my request to financially  support this project.
