Mural at Bennetto Elementary

Hi, my name is Michael Hendrick and I teach at Bennetto Elementary.

I am raising money for local Hamilton artist Lester Coloma to paint a beautiful mural in one of the school’s hallways. The mural would be similar to the style of the one shown in the photo.

I am running this initiative because I feel that both students and educators would benefit from having more beauty in our school. Artwork captures the attention of its viewers and can lower stress levels and inspire creativity in those who see it.

If the youth are the seeds of our community, let’s nurture their growth with an environment that is fertile with beauty and compassion. This mural is one way we can come together to bring both of those things into the Bennetto community.

I have spoken with artist Lester Coloma who would be painting the mural and the cost of the piece would be $2500 plus tax which is where the funds would be going.
