#GoFundMe #SaveOscar
Oscar is our beloved Siberian Husky—gentle, loyal, and full of quiet strength. He’s the kind of dog who stays close, watches over his family, and loves with his whole heart. A few days ago, we noticed something wasn’t right. His breathing sounded off—noisy and heavy—but we never imagined how serious it would become.
What started as concern quickly turned into fear. Despite medications and rest, Oscar’s breathing worsened with each passing day. Watching him struggle for air was heartbreaking. When it became clear this was an emergency, we rushed him to the ER, praying for answers and hoping we weren’t already too late.
At the hospital, doctors delivered devastating news: Oscar was suffering from a severe pneumothorax—collapsed lungs. Nearly two liters of air had built up in his chest, crushing his lungs and making every breath a fight. That air was urgently removed in a lifesaving procedure, finally explaining just how hard Oscar had been fighting just to stay alive.
Oscar is now under close medical care and constant monitoring. His recovery isn’t over—he requires imaging, continued treatment, and careful observation and surgery to prevent this from happening again. Each step forward brings hope, but also mounting medical costs we never anticipated.
Oscar isn’t “just a dog.” He’s family. He’s comfort on hard days, joy on ordinary ones, and a constant, loving presence in our lives. Seeing him struggle to breathe has been one of the most painful experiences we’ve ever faced. We would do anything to give him the chance to heal and come home safely.
The emotional and financial weight of this emergency has been overwhelming, and asking for help is not easy.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking the time to read Oscar’s story. Every donation, share, message, and prayer has meant more to us than we can express. Your kindness is helping us give Oscar the care he needs and the chance to heal. We are deeply grateful for the love and support surrounding our family during this incredibly difficult time—and for standing with Oscar when he needs it most.
