The Munroe Family

Dear Family and Friends,

It is with a heavy heart, I announce that on Friday July 22, 2022, our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and Elder Shem Munroe met an untimely death in a head-on collision. The fatal accident that took the life of our dear Shem was caused by a sleeping driver that crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with him.

Shem leaves behind, his beloved wife Samantha, his beautiful children N'kechi and Zachary, and his siblings Shemlyn and Klaus. Shem was a hard worker and always went the extra mile to ensure his family was cared for. His dedication to providing for his family lead him to Texas where his life was cut short. His love for helping others led to him to mentoring many young men. Those who were fortunate enough to have met him will always remember his infectious smile and jovial personality.

Presently, the expenses for Shem to be transported home to his family in New York and funeral expenses, and legal fees are growing fast. As the school year is fast approaching, his widow will be met with educational costs for their minor children.

In addition to honoring Shem’s life, we are seeking financial support to give him the homegoing service he deserves and making sure his family will be able to cover present and future expenses. We would like to do our best to ensure that resources are readily available so that incoming expenses can be covered.
