Hello! my name is Jadeyn, I am 17 and my kitty needs help. His name is Munchy and he is 12 years old. He is currently experiencing heart murmurs which are particularly rare and concerning in a cat, it could possibly mean his heart is not preforming correctly leading to blood clots in his body. Our wounderful vet has advised us to see a specialist to preform an echocardiogram to get a grasp as to what his heart murmurs are, however we are unfortunately not in the position to pay for such a service. And not only are we unable to pay for the service, but if there is something wrong with him we wouldn't be able to pay for the treatment either.
I have also found numerous bumps and lumps under his skin. We recently got bloodwork done on him and I am happy to say that the results came out great. I'm also happy to say that according to our vet the bumps seem to be harmless. They are above the muscle and only under the skin, meaning his organs are not being affected at all. But we still have to pay for expenses from the vet visit and blood testing, which will be coming directly from our rent money.
Lastly, his appetite has been incredibly poor. We switched from dry food to wet food about 8 months ago. And while he seemed to enjoy the wet food for a while, now he wont eat it at all. The only thing we've gotten him to eat for the past couple days is canned tuna, and although he is eating it, it's in very small amounts at a time. He's lost 2 pounds so far and counting. Our vet told us that if he stopped eating we'd need an appetite medication, which can come in different forms.
This cat has been apart of my life since I was 5 years old. He is my soul cat and my baby, seeing him like this breaks my heart and worries me to no end. I couldn't imagine life without him, and if I can prolong his life by any amount I will do it. My family and I are asking for help. For the pending expenses, future expenses, and the likely expenses. Anything helps Please share!
