Sponsor a school...
Donation protected
We all agree that we don’t want money to stop this message from getting into schools and with many facing constant government funding cuts, they don’t have the budget to bring speakers in, so here’s a solution that fixes that problem.
This gofundme will sponsor FREE visits to schools.
The way it will work is every time I get a booking and it’s complete, I will then withdraw my travel costs (i.e. train ticket) and £250 for my delivery (and I know that good speakers are charging upwards of £1000 per day, but let’s get some momentum going on this and use it for some good).
For details on what I do: I have sessions for students (Year 7 and above), for staff and for parents. All sessions are adaptable to suit the schools needs.
Since the launch of this GoFundMe, I’ve provided a free visit to the following schools,
1. 11th June 2024 - Barming Primary School, Kent (80 teachers)
2. 13th January 2025 - Maiden Erlegh School, Reading (540 students, (100 teachers)
Below are three testimonials.
From a mother: "My son was one of the Year 7 children you spoke to. When he came home, he told me about your visit and your story. He was really inspired by your courage and bravery. I just wanted to message you so you know how valued what you’re doing is. My son said he “clapped hard” for you and he was touched by what you were telling them. Educating children about abuse is invaluable and at an early age."
From a student: “Hi Jeremy, I am a student at the school you presented at on Tuesday and I must say, pretty much everyone came out saying how that was one of the most interesting and engaging talks we’ve ever had! The way you explained your story was so captivating. Thank you so much for sharing your story, it was really inspiring and I felt very proud of you!”
From a headteacher: Jeremy visited our school to deliver a two-hour safeguarding session on sexual abuse. I was initially nervous about suggesting this training due to its sensitive nature; however, my concerns were unfounded. The session Jeremy delivered was professional and highly informative. Conversations among colleagues continued long after Jeremy left, and I am confident that his session will remain part of ongoing discussions as we work toward fostering more open and honest conversations about the difficult realities our students may face.
