Mum's home was flooded. Help rebuild her life.


There was a massive flood in my home town in Brazil, this is where my mum lives.

It was the biggest flood in 50 years, there is still the danger of another one, these photos show the height of the water.

Mum lost absolutely everything, from her kitchen appliances to clothes, bed, pillows, bed linen, fridge, stove, food, her sewing machines (that she used to complement her income by fixing clothes) as well as a lot of priceless things with the memories that they carried.
Due to the high toxicity of the water nothing that has been touched by it can be saved.  My mum loves her house and her things so it is especially hard for her. 

But above all, we are so relieved that most importantly she and her dogs are safe, that is the most important. Things are just things that can be replaced.

Anyone living away from their loved ones might understand how hard it is to be so far away in moments like these, for that reason, I want to leave my pride aside to ask you for your help and do my best to help from the distance for now, until I can get over there to help in person. 

So this crowdfunding is to help collect enough money so that we can help my mum to at least get the basics (stove, bed, mattress, fridge, kitchen appliances, some clothes, get the dogs checked, etc). She is already pensioned but still working to get by.

My mum is usually the one helping others any way she can. Help my mum and her doggies start over. She is absolutely distraught. It is urgent.

We are glad about any help that we can get and I will keep you posted.
