Hi, my name is Gurj.

I'm working to fulfil my dad's dream of giving back to his roots by raising money to either build a water well or improve the facilities at his old primary school in India.

This was a project close to his heart, and something he hoped to do himself. Sadly, he passed away three years ago, and I’ve taken it upon myself to carry on his legacy.

As the honorary president of a local tennis club, I have the opportunity to choose a cause to support—and I’ve chosen this one, along with a similar initiative for my mum’s former school, also in India. Both of my parents grew up in underprivileged areas, and I want to give something back in their honour.

Next year, my mum and I will be travelling to India to personally deliver the funds to these schools and ensure the support reaches the communities directly.
