My mothers name is Jennifer Conriquez.
She is 43 years old, she is a wife, a sister, a daughter and a mother to 9 children.
Amanda (25) Jasmine (23) Cianna (18) Cimarron (16) Joshua (15) Michael (14) Alyssa (12) Mason (3) James (Died at birth).
My mother is currently suffering from MS (Multiple Sclerosis).
She has been silently battling this disease for 8 years now.
In 2012 she started loosing her balance, walking into walls, having trouble with her speech, numbness and tingling in her arms and legs.
It progressed to severe headaches, loosing her vision in one eye, lacking control of her balance and legs and having seizures where she would black out and collapse.
These symptoms would come and go for several years without ever being diagnosed.
Her original diagnosis was epilepsy due to her seizures.
On the 7th of March 2019 Jennifer was at her house looking after her children when suddenly she felt tingling and numbness in her left leg.
She assumed it would go away on its own and she went to sleep for the night.
The next morning as she woke up to leave her bed, she collapsed on the floor and blacked out.
Eventually when came to several minutes later, she was rushed to hospital.
Jennifer was in hospital till the 11th of March 2019 where they finally properly diagnosed her with MS (Multiple Sclerosis) - (Please see photos)
She has lost her ability to walk. She can't stand on her own and she needs the help of family members around her to assist doing every day tasks such as bathing and using the restroom.
Jennifer needs medication, physical therapy and treatment at the Cleveland clinic - https://my.clevelandclinic.org/locations/nevada
Jennifer needs help paying her medical bills, as due to her diagnosis she can't work anymore and needs constant help and care 24/7.
Jennifer is in URGENT need of funds for her treatment, she is getting worse each day without the treatment she needs and deserves.
The average cost of MS (Multiple Sclerosis) treatment is $60,000 a year!
Our situation is desperate and urgent.
I never thought I would have to ask help for my mother in this type of situation and it pains me to even write this.
Our family has been torn apart by this diagnosis and watching our mother suffer each day from an illness she cannot control.
