Multiple myeloma treatment for Cory

Donation protected
In late 2017, Cory began experiencing some blurred vision and double vision while driving. She went in to the doctor and was told she had a brain tumour which would need surgery to be removed but was most likely benign.

The surgery was to be scheduled for early in 2018 but when her symptoms began to rapidly worsen, she went back to the doctor for full body scans to understand why her health was deteriorating.

These full body scans revealed that Cory’s brain tumour was secondary and she was diagnosed at 49 with Multiple Myeloma, an incurable cancer of the plasma cells, a type of white blood cell responsible for producing body-protecting antibodies.

2018 so far has consisted of radiation, chemotherapy, and not being able to leave the house due to low white blood cell counts except for mandatory doctor visits and treatments.

Through all of this, Cory has remained so positive and inspirational and partly in thanks due to all of the kind words and gestures through Facebook and beyond.

To help with ongoing medical and living expenses, I ask anyone who Cory has ever supported, made smile, given advice to, cheered up - to please give what you can, no amount is too small, to help make this extremely difficult time a little bit easier.

PS: it’s Cory’s birthday on Monday, 16 of April. Happy birthday Cory!
