Following recent brain surgery to relieve pressure caused by bleeding, he is now in recovery. By Krishna’s grace, the operation was successful, however the next phase is critical and will require time, rehabilitation, and ongoing care.

At 83 years of age, recovery is more complex and requires not only medical treatment, but a structured support system to help him regain strength, mobility, and independence.

While there are encouraging early signs in his movement, the full extent of his physical and cognitive recovery will become clearer over time.

In discussion with the care team, the following support has been identified as important for his recovery.

Recovery following brain surgery involves much more than the procedure itself. It requires rehabilitation, assistance with daily activities, and creating a safe and supportive living environment.

To give him the best possible chance of recovery, the following support will be required:

• Rehabilitation and physiotherapy: $5,200 – $9,750

• Occupational and neuropsychological support: $1,950 – $4,550

• Transport for ongoing care: $1,300 – $3,250

• Home modifications (including converting the current compost toilet to a standard indoor toilet, along with bathroom safety upgrades, rails, and general fall-prevention improvements): $6,500 – $11,700

• Equipment and mobility aids: $1,950 – $3,900

• Short-term care support: $1,300 – $3,900
