Hi my name is Senna and I created this page to raise funds for Muhammed Al-Hasnawi and his Family and Gaza, I will be responsible of making sure every cent donated will get to him and his family, and will be the main point of contact for any questions regarding this campaign; here follows a message from Muhammed himself:
"I hope this message finds you well.
My name is Muhammed Al-Hasnawi. I am 32 years old, and I am writing to you from Gaza, Palestine.
Before the war, I lived a simple and peaceful life. I owned a small supermarket and worked hard every day to support my family. I loved life, loved people, and dreamed of building a safe and stable future like any ordinary person in the world.
Everything changed after October 7, 2023.
Since that day, we have lived through unimaginable suffering. Our lives became filled with fear, loss, displacement, and the daily struggle to survive.
I never imagined that one day I would be in a position where I would need to ask others for help.
Before the war, my family consisted of eight adults and three children. Today, only five of us remain together after heartbreaking losses. My father passed away at the age of 71, and my brother was killed during the war.
Now I carry the responsibility of supporting my elderly mother, Zainab (61 years old), my two sisters Hala and Hiba, and my late brother’s children: Sham, Majed, and Malika.
Life has become unstable since the war. We are trying to survive day by day.
I was also seriously injured during the first year of the war. I suffered fractures in my pelvis and lower back. I could not walk for nine months — spending half that time in intensive care and the other half in a wheelchair. Although I can walk again today, I still suffer from the effects of these injuries.
Because of my condition, I can no longer work in physically demanding jobs like I used to. Sometimes it’s hard to find work after everything that happened. My family depends on me, and I’m doing my best despite the pain and exhaustion.
My dream now is very simple: I want to open a small market again so I can rebuild my life with dignity and provide stability for my family.
Every day brings new struggles:
Food is expensive and sometimes unavailable.
Clean water is difficult to find.
Cooking gas is extremely rare.
Medical care is very limited.
Communication is difficult because electricity and internet are unstable.
Some days, I spend hours collecting wood just to light a fire and cook a simple meal for my family.
What hurts me most is that at the beginning of the war, I was helping displaced families and supporting people in need. I never imagined that one day I would become one of those people myself.
Still, I try to remain positive.
It's not easy here, but I’m still trying to stay hopeful and strong for my family. My mother depends on me, and the children look to me for comfort even when I feel powerless inside.
There are painful moments I cannot forget — when children ask for simple things like food, clothes, or sweets, and I cannot provide them, not because I do not want to, but because I truly cannot.
I am not writing these words to complain. I am writing because I still believe there are kind and compassionate people in this world who care about humanity.
If it’s possible, I kindly ask for your support through a donation or by sharing my story so it may reach people who can help.
Your support — no matter how small — can help us buy food, medicine, cooking gas, and basic necessities. It can help my family survive and help me take the first steps toward rebuilding our lives again.
If you cannot donate, simply sharing this message means more than you can imagine.
I also have documents, medical reports, and photos that prove everything I mentioned. If you wish to verify my situation, please feel free to contact me directly
If you want to help, please also contact me directly.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my story, for your kindness, your compassion, and your humanity.
With respect, hope, and gratitude,
Mohammed Al-Hasnawi
Gaza, Palestine"
