Step Up For A-Sisterhood

30 minutes on the StairMaster. Every day.

Each step is for women facing a tougher climb than mine. This one's for you — your strength, your fight, your journey.

Hey! My name is Jocelyn Mathew. I am a Miss Universe Great Britain 2025 Finalist. This June, I am starting a new movement called #StepUpForAsisterhood Challenge - 30 minutes on the StairMaster every day leading up to the Miss Universe Great Britain Grand Final, to raise funds for Asisterhood and in support of women and girls all around the world. Each drop of sweat (and trust me, there will be many) supports survivors of domestic abuse, gender-based violence, girls without access to education, and communities striving for equality.

The Miss Universe Great Britain Grand Final is set to take place on 26 July 2025, in Cardiff. I hope to see many of you there, but if you are unable to be there, I ask that you support this cause.

A-Sisterhood is a UK-based not-for-profit organisation created by the Miss Universe Great Britain Director, Paula Abbandonato, to empower, support and protect women around the world.

Your donations support important projects such as:

-Stop Acid Attacks in India, helping women who have survived acid violence.

-Smalls for All distributes undergarments to girls and women in need worldwide.

-Llamau in Cardiff is helping homeless women.

-National Centre for Female Genital Mutilation campaigning for the end of FGM in the UK.

-Cardiff Women's Aid supports victims of domestic violence.

-Consider The Lilly, supporting a girl's home in Manilla that helps girls who have escaped abuse, sex trafficking and sex work.

These projects are so important and this cause is deeply personal to me. Women all over the world, even those closest to us experience hardship. Having closely known victims of domestic abuse, I have seen strong women rebuilding their lives after violence.

This isn't just charity, it is sisterhood in action. Women's safety is still a global issue and giving women power changes everything.

Doing this every day straight will be tough, sweaty and if anyone has used the StairMaster before, you'll already know I will be hanging on for dear life. But together, step by step, we can help women rise.
