It is with extreme pain and surmounting grief that we report the loss of our dear Lark “Muffy” Brady. Muffy suffered from issues relating to mental health that eventually caused her death. Muffy’s death was untimely and because of that we are asking the community to come together to help with arrangements necessary to honor her legacy and ensure a great send off as she transcends to the heavens above.
Muffy was charismatic, optimistic, confident and had an energy that was extremely fluid and inspiring. She loved her community and family. The adversity and challenges that she faced propelled her in life pushing her to graduate San Francisco State University and provide support to youth in her community. Unfortunately, that adversity amongst the effects of the Covid Pandemic and unstable economy would also contribute to her death. Prior to her death Muffy was a voice for people showing us how to live free and embrace our challenges by letting loose and being unapologetically you. She inspired those that lacked confidence by always showing up and being the best her that she could be. Singing karaoke, performing poetry, participating and facilitating foster youth donations are a few of the things that Muffy did to show that despite hurt, despite pain, you must show up. She was the epitome of Resiliency. That spirit is what we want to celebrate and remember.
Cheryl Brady (Muffy's Sister) will be the recipient of proceeds being that she is in charge of Muffy's affairs. She is not able to do this alone.
We are asking for assistance with covering the costs of all that comes with a celebration of life. Anything left over will be donated to Muffs and Cheryl's Non-Profit Organization My First Couch. We understand that not all are able to contribute financially and that is okay. What is more important is that we celebrate Muffy. We have provided a link to a E-Card where all can share in a way that feels comfortable to them.
