His leg can't be saved, but he can! We just need some hero's... like you.
Hi, I’m Neilon and this is the gorgeous face of my beloved Mufasa.
While I was away caring for my parents, Mufasa severely injured his back leg. He got trapped and dragged himself free like the little lion that he is. He’s a very brave and wilful little soul. Unfortunately, as he dragged himself free he tore a lot of skin and flesh off his rear right leg and crushed his heal bone. After 3 days of treating the wounds, I had to come to the horrible decision to follow the many vets’ advice and agree to an amputation. I’ve been assured that cats do well on 3 legs and he will continue to have a fulfilled and happy life. I can’t wait to get him back into my arms. He’s in great hands, but the financial cost is insurmountable to me.
The treatment to try and save the leg, along with the cost of the amputation and after care will amount to more than £5,000 in vets bills.
He so hates being cooped up - it doesn’t suit his Lion spirit. It’s so hard to see him in his little cage at the vet. I’ve been giving him loads of cuddles whenever I can get to see him. All he wants to do is escape - ever the Houdini!
He can get through this, but I need help to save him. Anything you can spare will make a huge difference!
If there’s any excess money, I’ll donate it to an animal rescue charity.
