We are the Pub and Bar Company who run Hemlocks, The Muddy Duck and The Anchor across Maldon. We’ve brought together a team to take on The Maldon Mud Race, raising money for Cardiac Risk in the Young (C.R.Y). This is a cause that matters deeply to us, as some of our staff have lost friends and loved ones to undiagnosed heart conditions.

Cardiac problems affect people of all ages. Every week in the UK, at least 12 young people die of undiagnosed heart conditions, often without warning. C.R.Y exists to prevent these tragedies by providing cardiac screening for young people, funding research and supporting affected families.

Heart health is something many young people may not usually address. Thats why we have gathered a team to run through the mud to raise awareness, start conversations and protect those around us.

Our goal is to raise as much as possible between now and 26th April. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to protecting a life.
