Much needed physical therapy for this handsome boy!

This is the handsome Bryer Storm (BryBry). He is a 3 year old Springer Spaniel. Bryer has had a rough start to life. At 6 months, he was diagnosed with Meningomyelitis, or an inflammation of the spinal cord. He was in terrible pain in his rear legs but xrays showed nothing. We were finally referred to a neurologist and went through an MRI to find out about the meningomyelitis. He was put on some medication and was seemingly getting better. About 5 months after that diagnosis, we started noticing him knuckling on his left rear and would every once in a while stumble and fall down. This progressively got worse. He would just be standing at times and his front legs would fold underneath of him. We made another trip to the neurologist, another MRI and now find out that pockets of fluid had developed around his spinal cord toward the base of his neck. These pockets were closing off the fluid from flowing freely through his spinal cord and causing a loss of communication between the cord and his legs essentially. The only corrective action was surgery to remove the pockets. Bry successfully went through surgery and the doctor felt really good about the whole procedure. He was doing well for a few months and then things started to get worse. He started to no longer stand on his front legs and walk. He was walking on his carpal joints. As soon as we would stand him on his feet, he would go right back down to his carpals. Another trip, another MRI shows that he developed scar tissue from the first surgery that is now pressing on his cord. Surgery was again the only option to possibly make things better. Bry went through surgery once again but this time it wasn't the best outcome. The doctor was able to disconnect the scar tissue but not remove it from the cord without risking extensive damage and possibly paralysis. Through all of this Bry has been a trooper and a happy boy. Yes, there are days where he is frustrated. He is taking physical therapy 2 times a week with Augusta K9 who generously donated a 4 leg wheelchair to us and he also has custom braces for his front legs from BionicPets. Bryer needs some help to continue his physical therapy. My fiancee and I have exhausted all means of being able to continue the sessions for him. It's not easy for either of us to ask for help, but its not about us, its all for Bryer.
