MUBC 24hr Row in aid of Refugee Action
Donation protected
Welcome to the donation page for Manchester University Boat Club's 24hr rowing challenge. From 12.00pm 12/5/22 to 12.00pm 13/5/22 our athletes will attempt to collectively row over 400km in order to raise funds for charity and the club. This will take place outside the University of Manchester's Student Union on Oxford Road, please come down and cheer us on if you can.
At MUBC we believe that refugees deserve better; therefore we're fundraising for Refugee Action. They've been standing up for refugees since 1981, and their vision is that refugees and people seeking asylum will be welcome in the UK. They deliver frontline services for refugees, and campaign for their rights. In the past year where we've seen the government's anti-refugee bill and the devastating crises in Afghanistan and Ukraine, we need action. Please donate if you can, and help fight for a fairer future for refugees and people seeking safety.

As a student-led club with limited internal funding, we rely heavily on external support and our community of athletes to keep MUBC afloat. Therefore, half of the donations will go to our club to cover essential maintenance costs and purchase crucial equipment. This allows us to continue to provide a fantastic rowing experience to generations of students and to repeatedly hold fundraising events for worthy causes such as this one.
