Mubashir & Aisha

Donation protected
On Monday 27 July 2020 at midday, our hearts were broken as we mourn the devastating loss of Mubashir and his wife Aisha (both aged 31), their one-year old boy Arsal, and cousin Humna (aged 22). Our grief has been overcome by our concern for what comes next for their two surviving daughters who are six and three years old.

Whilst on their way back from taking baby Arsal to the doctors, they were involved in a devastating road traffic accident; in which all four tragically died at the scene.

One word to describe Mubashir would be a gentleman. He would go above and beyond for anybody and dedicate his life to helping others, not just his family. He was a pious man who completed two Hajj’s (Islamic pilgrimage) and was content with his life, as long as his loved ones were well kept after.

Aisha lit up a room as soon as she walked in. She was a lecturer at a college in a nearby town; however, Aisha decided to put her career on hold to raise her three children. Motherhood came naturally to Aisha and she cherished every moment she spent with her children and Mubashir. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Aisha took it upon herself to teach the children in her village, as schools had been closed for the foreseeable.

At the age of 14, Mubashir became the main breadwinner for his family as he sadly lost his father (aged 44). He quickly became responsible for the wellbeing and care of his six sisters and newly widowed mother. After completing his education at the age of 17, he left those he loved behind to work in Saudi Arabia in order to provide a more stable and secure income for his family.

During 2013, Mubashir and Aisha wedded and after having their first daughter, he took it upon himself to relocate to Dubai geared towards establishing the best life he could for his wife and [future] children; with a good quality education at the forefront of his mind. Up until 2020, Mubashir was regularly visiting and sending money back home to his family in Pakistan. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, he returned home indefinitely until further notice.

As cousins of Mubashir, we have come together to set up this GoFundMe page for his and Aisha’s daughters. This tragedy has left them both very confused and distressed. Due to their father normally working abroad, they are fixated that Mubashir has returned to Dubai for work. The fact that they can’t find their mother or baby brother has left them distraught and it is incompressible to describe how are they are feeling. Due to them living in Pakistan, grief support is unheard of, which is making it even more difficult to comprehend what has happened to their family. Currently, both girls go to reputable schools in a nearby town, due to their father’s income. However, due to the tragedy that has occurred, this is no longer feasible in this current situation.

At this devastatingly difficult time, we sincerely request your generosity in making a donation in honour of Mubashir and Aisha’s memory, to aid and support their beautiful little daughters who have been left tragically behind.

It is absolutely heart breaking that we have focused this GoFundMe page on Mubashir’s daughters, despite losing another cousin of ours, Humna. Humna was larger-than-life person who adored looking after children and the elderly; the reason for why she was with Mubashir, Aisha and baby Arsal was because she was adamant on being there to help look after baby Arsal. If we are blessed to raise enough money, we would love to give a portion of it as Sadaqah Jariya (charity) in Humna’s name. An example of Sadaqah Jariya that we would like to do is to install water pumps in deprived areas of Pakistan and to support other orphans in need.

We have created this fundraiser as family members of Mubashir and Aisha. The funds donated will be used for raising and educating Mubashir and Aisha’s two daughters. Mubashir’s two first cousins, Rehana Yasmin Sarwar and Rizwana Sarwar have been added as beneficiaries to this campaign and will be solely responsible for withdrawing and transferring these funds to the trust of Mubashir and Aisha Saeed.
