For those of you that know Kevin & Paula you are probably aware of the terrible accident Kevin had last Saturday. Preparing to ride in the annual memorial "Ride for Ron", Kevin's brother, this upcoming weekend.  He and Paula had gone to Ohio last Friday to do some practice riding. Ron lived in the West Chester, OH area and his dearest friends & family have memorialized him yearly since he was killed in head on car accident just two year ago! Anyway, this year Kevin was planning on riding Ron's motorcycle. They were less than 30 minutes into a practice ride last Saturday when his tire caught the edge of the road and down he went!  He hit his right foot on the guard rail and broke it so severely that they aren't sure yet if they can save it. He had his first surgery on Saturday night and then a second one already on Monday. He has been told that it is going to be many more surgeries, rehab and lots of healing! The doctors also told him that he will be in the hospital for about a month...in Cincinnati, OH!!
The expenses are mounding up & they are stuck in Ohio for who knows how long! We are hoping to get him an I-Pad for reading, movies, face-timing and playing games and then giving them the balance of the monies to help cover some of their rising living & medical  expenses.
We are all so thankful that he didn't get hurt any worse but man it's going to be a up hill battle until he is up and going!
