Adam’s Liver Transplant Recovery
Donation protected
Hello. My name is Belen and I am fundraising money to help pay medical bills, medications (currently 15 different medications), transportation, home bills, food, and baby supplies. My husband, Adam, had a rare disease discovered late 2021 called Alpha 1 Antitrypsin Deficiency. This disease attacked his liver, which made his liver deteriorate quickly and he had to have a liver transplant in March 2022. It is a VERY SLOW recovery and also requires very close attention due to his weak immune system. We normally wouldn’t ask for help, but this required me taking a Non-Paid family leave (I had already taken maternity leave a few months back) to care for him 24/7. The first 3 months are the most critical, but the full recovery process takes a year. We still don’t know how long I will be out of work and my husband’s disability is still pending. Any help to our family will be much appreciated. We thank you for your help and I ask for prayers for my husband’s recovery.
