Hi, my name is suzanne and I'm fundraising for the Castillo family .

On December 20, 2023 they received the worst news any parent can get about their 3 month old baby. After Jonael’s pediatrician showed concerned about his swollen belly at a general wellness visit, they suggested he be rushed to the ER and request an ultrasound.

The ultrasound revealed a round mass in the center of his abdomen.

They were later on transported by ambulance to Memorial Hermann Children’s Hospital in the Medical Center. There, they drew all kinds of labs and scheduled an MRI to be done.

The MRI image showed the mass taking up most of his abdomen and meanwhile has pushed all of his other organs to the sides in the process. A protein in one of the urine samples taken details that it is most likely a rhabdoid tumor.

Doctors have ordered more tests and scans to be performed for their baby to initiate the proper type of treatment. We are praying for a miracle!

El 20 de diciembre de 2023 recibimos las peores noticias que cualquier padre puede recibir sobre su bebé de 3 meses. Después de que el pediatra de Jonael se preocupo por su vientre hinchado en una visita de bienestar general, nos sugirieron llevarlo de urgencia a la sala de emergencias para recibir un ultrasonido.

El ultrasonido reveló un tumor en el centro de su abdomen.

Los médicos han ordenado que se realicen más pruebas y exploraciones para que inicien el tipo de tratamiento adecuado. ¡Estamos orando por un milagro!
