Hi everyone, as many of you know our dear friend Taylor Davis is fighting a very unexpected battle at such a young age. Along with being diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis 2 years ago, they discovered a brain tumor (not related to her MG) in November. She was immediately taken to OHSU for a Craniotomy due to the size and placement of the tumor. She endured an almost 9 hour brain surgery and the surgeon was able to remove most but not all of the tumor. When the pathology results came back, Taylor was officially diagnosed with Grade III Anaplastic Astrocytoma of the brain. This is an aggressive form of brain cancer.
Taylor is currently undergoing Radiation 5 days a week and Chemotherapy 7 days a week. When this round of therapy is complete, they will assess her progress and she will have a month break from treatment. They will then continue with another round of chemotherapy.
With all of her treatments and Dr. appointments in Corvallis and Portland it has been a strain on Taylor & her family. I have started this to try and help give some relief to Taylor while going through this unimaginable time in her life.
Knowing Taylor is knowing strength, positivity, gratefulness and kindness. And a little bit of stubbornness. She is overwhelmed by the kindness & words of encouragement of everyone in her life. If we can just help take one less thing off her plate right now, it would be amazing. If anyone has any questions please reach out!
