MEAT THE VICTIMS BARCELONA #3
MTV consists of 2 different parts:
First, around 100 activists will occupy a factory farm to meet the victims of the meat industry. We'll sneak into the factory farm under the cover of darkness, filming the entire process with some members of the media. Once we are inside the farm, we will share livestreams, videos, and photos of the living conditions that these poor animals endure. This footage will be broadcast across social media platforms and sent to the Catalan press.
Secondly, when morning comes, we'll use our voices to protest outside the farm with placards and banners.
There has been 2 Meat the Victims actions in Barcelona:
#mtvbarcelona1 with 41 activists at an Egg Factory Farm
#mtvbarcelona2 with 75 activists at a Piggery
Both actions went viral on social media and were all over the national press!
As you can imagine, these actions are quite costly. So we are asking for help in any way you can: even the smallest donation can make a huge difference!
FOR THE INSIDE TEAM:
- 50 BioSecurity Suits (size L) = 44,50
- 50 BioSecurity Suits (size M) = 44,50
- 400 BioSecurity Shoe Covers = 72,00
- 400 Latex Gloves = 96,8
- 100 face respiratory masks = 49,2
- Flowers = 75,00
- 150 MTV shirts = 883,00
FOR THE OUTSIDE TEAM:
- Megaphone = 150,00
- 30 A1 Placards = 400,00
- Meat the Victims Banner = 200,00
- 4 orange smoke bombs = 80,00
- 4 purple smoke bombs = 80,00
OTHERS:
- Private bus for the activists = 1,500 € approx
- Petrol + renting vehicles costs = 300,00 €
- Animals costs (vet bills, transportation, re-homing, a donation to the sanctuary, etc.) = 500,00€ approx
- Legal costs = 500,00.€ approx
