A skydive for Lauren

Firstly thank you for taking the time to read my page!

So, here's the story and reason for this challenge, which I am hoping will help raise funds for a family who's little girl attends my Nursery.

Eleanor joined us on 2nd January 2022, she brought along her Mummy & Daddy Lauren & Ross. In the summer of 2023 Lauren received shocking news that at the age of just 25, she had breast cancer. Lauren fought this with every ounce of strength & underwent a double mastectomy, chemotherapy & radiography. Through all of this Lauren remained strong & positive. Towards the end of last yr at the end of Lauren's treatment, she and Ross began planning their wedding for later this year. Sadly everything changed when the new year arrived bringing the devestating news that in actual fact the Cancer had spread and time was short. Lauren & Ross set out plans to make special family memories which included to get married. Soon Lauren became very sick very quickly and was taken into hospital. It was at this time that they were told the cancer had taken over and time was likely to be simply days. The family were heartbroken, Lauren insisted on going home where she could be with Ross, Eleanor & her close family. After being home for just a couple of days Lauren & Ross were married on 14th March in a private ceremony at their home surrounded by their closest family.

Sadly Lauren lost her battle to stay and passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on 17th March.

The money raised from this skydive will go towards a fund set up to help Ross follow the dreams and aspirations he shared with Lauren for their daughter Eleanor.

A skydive (or parachute jump), has been something I have always wanted to do but never actually had the (excuse the pun), push to do it, but what can be better than to honour Lauren's memory.
