Help Build a Bathroom at Upper Mt. Simon Park

Mt. Simon Park is one of Eau Claire’s most loved outdoor spaces. People come here every day to hike the trails, play disc golf, use the volleyball courts, bring their kids to the playground, or just enjoy one of the best views in the city.

But there’s one big thing missing:

There are no restrooms near the Upper Mt. Simon playground and pavilion.

Families, hikers, disc golfers, and park visitors often spend hours at Upper Mt. Simon, but right now there is no convenient bathroom option nearby. With the new playground, trail improvements, and pavilion, more people will be using this part of the park than ever.

We want to help fix that.

Our Goal: $70,000 for a Public Bathroom at Upper Mt. Simon

Thanks to a generous bequest from the Jane Honadel estate, the City of Eau Claire has started making important improvements at Upper Mt. Simon Park.

Recent and upcoming improvements include:

• A new playground

• A new trail

• A pavilion, partially funded and coming soon?

These are exciting changes for the park and for the neighborhood. But the current funding does not include a restroom facility.

Our goal is to raise $68,000 to help fund a 1–2 stall, electric, fully plumbed restroom building that would serve the playground, trails, disc golf course, pavilion, and other park visitors.

How Your Donation Helps

This fundraiser is organized by the Northside Hill Neighborhood Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving Eau Claire’s Northside Hill neighborhood.

All donations will go into the NHNA Parks Fund and will be specifically earmarked for the Mt. Simon Park restroom project and related improvements in the Upper Mt. Simon area.

Your support will help make Upper Mt. Simon better for:

• Families using the playground

• Disc golfers and trail users

• Community events and gatherings

• People visiting one of Eau Claire’s most scenic parks

This is a practical improvement that would make a real difference for a lot of people.
