MONADNOCK TRAIL BREAKES SNOWMOBILE CLUB NEEDS YOUR HELP!!
We had some pretty large unexpected expenses with the sudden teardown and rebuilt of the 1987 Pisten Bully motor this year and are asking for your help us keep maintaining these trails. Our guys discovered the problem and fixed it in less than a week, no questions asked! These guys have maintained this great little machine for a decade without asking for any additional donations or help with it and the almost $2000 dollars we just used fixing it is a lot of money for this little club. If every person reading this donated $5 we would be at our goal in no time! So far we have raised $425 of our $2000 goal through paypal.
We are currently a 30 member snowmobile club maintaining over 80 miles of New Hampshire trail system in Dublin, Peterborough, Hancock, Greenfield, Bennington, Harrisville & more. For those that don't know....Thats 6+ towns and 2 counties. That's a HUGE area for a teeny tiny club. Each member pays a $35 dollar fee to join, $25 of which goes to the club to cover trail maintenance costs, parts and fuel for groomers and other repairs, etc. The rest of our budget comes from donations from our fantastic supporters and Grant $ from the State of NH Bureau of Trails who work closely with the New Hampshire Snowmobile Association (NHSA) to keep snowmobiling alive in NH. We are allotted a set amount of funds per year that we "draw on" as we groom. We bill for grooming once a month by submitting logs of our operators hours on different types of machines. Each type of machine means a different hourly rate that the club is reimbursed for. We have about 10 active, involved members that help with landowners and trail clearing, bridge building, etc and 5 guys that groom almost constantly as conditions allow (all in their free time NOT riding their own sleds).
We are SO grateful for the help we receive.
This year, we hope you'll reach out with a little extra to help us keep this equipment up. It's early in the season and our guys that work day and night volunteering for this club shouldn't have to reach into their pockets to cover these repairs yet again. This is a HUGE chunk of our operating budget for the year and we need to recoup some of it to continue working
If you snowmobile, walk, run, snowshoe or x-country ski on our trails in the winter or walk, run, hike or horseback ride in the summer...please consider donating to the club this year. Every little bit helps. We are 501(c)3 Registered non-profit.
Our Mission Statment: (more info at www.monadnocktrailbreakers.com)
The Monadnock Trail Breakers snowmobile club is based out of Dublin, NH and maintains their trail system in Dublin, Harrisville, Hancock, Peterborough, Bennington, Greenfield & more. They seek to preserve and improve snowmobiling for future generations in our community. Our Club, in conjunction with the New Hampshire Snowmobile Association and our neighboring clubs, works toward maintaining and improving trails, facilities and services for riders & recreationalists, and interacts with landowners to ensure that our trails remain both safe and accessible to the public
We are also dedicated to providing a fun and safe environment for snowmobile enthusiasts as well as recreationists such as Walkers, Runners, Hikers, Equestrians, Skiers, & Snowshoers to get together; both on the trail, and off at our various social gatherings throughout the year.
We do our part to make the New Hampshire trail system what it is today- miles of gorgeous, safe, and fun recreation for the whole family.
