ROAD TO THE LPGA

Hi everyone,

My name is Anna M Hedlund, I’m a professional golfer from Sweden and am currently playing on the Annika Women’s All Pro Tour in the USA and the Ladies European Tour Access Tour in Europe. My goal is to reach the biggest stage in women’s golf, the LPGA.

A little bit about me:

I started playing golf at the age of 4, sports have always been in my blood, my passion. Before focusing 100 % of my energy on golf, I combined it with Alpine Skiing on a national and international level and won nationals for juniors in Super-G.

In 2012, I spent 3 years at Sweden’s Number 1 golf high School, RIG Helsingborg before moving to the United States for college. This prepared me for what was next. I played in the Swedish National Team before earning a full Scholarship to LSU (Louisiana State University). I graduated from LSU in December 2019, with a degree in Marketing.

My coaches and I believe playing tournaments in both the US and Europe is an instrumental part of my plans to reach my goal of playing in the LPGA. The courses, tournaments, grass, and weather here in the US present me with the perfect conditions that will best challenge me so I may achieve my goal, The LPGA. However, tournaments in the United States are more expensive, I’m thankful for my sponsors who help me cover many of my costs, however, entry fees are 5 x's more expensive making it very challenging to achieve my goal.

Where I need your help: entry fees, flights, and rental cars.

Each US event costs $1,000-1,250 and I have 15-20 more events this upcoming year, in addition to the LPGA Q-school entry fee of $2,500.

Since I am a Swedish Citizen, any donations will be converted to the Swedish Krona and as of January 17th the Currency Exchange is: 1 USD = 11,18 SEK :)
