Support for Victor Lopez Jr. as He Battles Leukemia

Victor Lopez (Jr.) is a fun-loving 19-year-old who enjoys spending time with family, watching anime, playing video games, working on his truck, and going to the gym. His joyful, active spirit is something everyone around him knows and loves.

A few weeks ago, Jr. started getting nosebleeds and flu-like symptoms that just wouldn’t go away. When the fatigue kicked in, his family knew something wasn’t right and urged him to make an appointment to see a doctor. From there, he was sent to the ER at St. Catherine’s and then transferred by ambulance to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

That’s where he got the news no one ever expects: Victor was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).

He’s now being treated at the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute at Wesley, where he’s started chemotherapy and will continue to receive care for the foreseeable future.

His mom Elvira, and brother Christian are staying with him at the hospital, while his dad, Victor Sr., and sister Annel are supporting from home.

This has all happened so quickly, and the emotional and financial impact has been a lot on the family. We’re starting this GoFundMe to help with medical expenses, travel, food, lodging, and all the unexpected costs that come with a diagnosis like this.

Apoyo para Víctor López Jr. mientras lucha contra la leucemia

Víctor López Jr. es un joven de 19 años alegre y lleno de vida. Disfruta pasar tiempo con su familia, ver anime, jugar videojuegos, trabajar en su camioneta y asistir al gimnasio. Su espíritu activo y alegre es algo que todos los que lo rodean conocen y aman.

Hace unas semanas, Jr. comenzó a sangrados de la nariz y síntomas similares a los de la gripe que no desaparecían. Cuando empezó a sentirse extremadamente cansando, su familia supo que algo no estaba bien y lo animó a acudir al médico. A partir de ahí, fue enviado a la sala de emergencias del hospital St. Catherine’s y luego trasladado en ambulancia al Wesley Medical Center en Wichita.

Fue allí donde recibió una noticia que nadie espera: a Víctor le diagnosticaron Leucemia Linfoblástica Aguda (LLA).

Actualmente está siendo tratado en el Instituto Oncológico Sarah Cannon del hospital Wesley, donde ha iniciado la quimioterapia y continuará recibiendo cuidados médicos por un tiempo indefinido.

Su mama Elvira y su hermano Christian están acompañándolo en el hospital, mientras que su papa, Víctor Sr., y su hermana Annel lo apoyan desde casa.

Todo esto ha ocurrido muy rápido, y el impacto emocional y financiero ha sido enorme para la familia. Hemos creado esta campaña en GoFundMe para ayudar con los gastos médicos, de viaje, alimentación, hospedaje y todos los costos inesperados que conlleva un diagnóstico como este.
