Anyone that knows Rory loves the guy. Extremely loyal, genuinely interested in what you have to say, guaranteed to make you laugh and will give you the shirt off his back. Rory married his longtime love Lexi in March of 2019 and had relocated to the quiet, sleepy beach town of Cayucos on the Central Coast and recently accepted a new position with Zoom. Coming off of some of the most fulfilling years of his life, Rory was stopped in his tracks. After about a year off and on headaches, occasional dizziness and exploring allergies as a possible cause for occasional headaches and dizziness he was hit with some very difficult news. 


On Monday, August 17th, 2020 Rory got the call he didn't want. A brain tumor that doctor’s believe is a characteristic of a menginoma. The tumor is pressing against Rory’s brain stem and acoustic canal. Due to the location of the tumor the doctors will not be able to remove the tumor completely and as a result Rory is faced with hearing loss in his right ear and possible nerve damage. After surgery he will undergo regular radiation or other alternative methods to help reduce the remaining portion of the tumor. Rory is facing some major challenges ahead which will require a long road to recovery. Lexi and Rory will be making multiple hospital visits to Palo Alto with extended stays and multiple phases of physical therapy. 


There is still uncertainty if the tumor is 100% confirmed as a menginoma and doctors will not be able to know for certainty until Rory undergoes surgery on Thursday, August 27th.
