Sue Versus Cancer and Insurance
Donation protected
Our Sue was diagnosed with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer on December 6th of 2015. She was hospitalized for over a month, transferred to a "skilled nursing facility", then hospitalized again for two weeks. She has been at a new facility since January 27th of 2015. The care here is much better, they also have long-term care, and hospice. We thought this would be her last move.
Surprise! I received a phone call at 3:45 saying her insurance has decided to stop paying TODAY. Now we must scramble for cost of stay until another doctor visit. Sue will be evaluated and next stage of care determined. Hopefully it will be painless and make Sue a happier camper.
Cost of a shared room is about $180 a day. I would like to see if we could get her at least one month which is around $6000 a month. Any help would be welcomed and appreciated beyond words. We are all reeling with the developments.
Please pray, send good juju, light a candle, jangle spurs, and keep her in your heart. Sue's a fighter, but could sure use some people in her corner.
