Mt. Virginia Memorial Orchard

Hi, I'm Karen Schowalter, Mother of 4 girls, Daughter, Doctor, Sister and Wife and today on my 56th birthday I am starting a Memorial Apple Orchard at Mt. Virginia.
Mt. Virginia is a wellness center and a retreat space that my family and I own out in Longbranch, WA within the Key Peninsula. It's the home to many wildlife species, native plants and forests here in Washington State. This year, it is our goal to plant 12 memorial apple trees to remember and celebrate loved ones. We also intend to build a sturdy fence and enclosure for the trees to protect and maintain the orchard as it grows.
The first two trees planted in our orchard were in honor of David Schowalter and Liz Breysse. If you would like to plant a tree in memory of someone you love please consider donating $75 to cover the cost of the tree and a name plate on the tree for your loved one. Make sure to mention in the comment section of your donation the name you'd like inscribed on the tree. You can also donate to the general upkeep and maintenance of the orchard any amount that you are able at this time as a way to show your support.
We will plant and maintain the trees for you. As the orchard grows, we will invite you to come harvest it's fruit every year in celebration of life and love.
