The Mt. View High School Odyssey of the Mind Team has qualified for World Finals! We're excited, thrilled, and a little overwhelmed! Odyssey of the Mind is a creative problem solving competition for students of all ages.  Our team of sophomores has spent countless hours since September working on their solution. Their hard work paid off when they took 1st place at the Regional Competition and 2nd place in their Division at the State Competition.

At Worlds, we will join teams from all over the globe to participate in the largest international creative problem solving competition. It is a huge honor and we are very excited to represent Mt View. These students have been involved in Odyssey of the Mind for various lengths of time, but this is Mt View's very first team! 

 World Finals are being held at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa from May 23rd through May 26th. We have a six-member team, one coach, and several parents/family members making the trip. We also need to rent a U-Haul to carry our set and props to Iowa.  As you can imagine, this will not be cheap. Thankfully, Mountain View High School was able to find funds to pay for the team's lodging and meals. However, we need to raise additional funds to cover travel expenses for all involved as well as renting the U-Haul.

Since the competition opens on May 23rd  we are in a time crunch. But, that's one of our Odyssey of the Mind competitions - Spontaneous Problem Solving.
