Mt. Kili Climb -Carla's Scholarship

With your help, I believe we can all make a difference and pay it forward exponentially in our world. Please read on...
In March of 2016, we lost my only sibling, Carla. She was a dedicated nursing instructor who loved her students and making this world a much better place by superbly educating future nurses to take care of you and me when we need it most.
In April of 2016, although Carla was no longer with us, we set-up the "Carla’s Wings of a Butterfly Associate Degree in Nursing Scholarship" to honor her dedication and drive to help nursing students to financially support their education. Please think of the infinite number of lives each nurse will touch in their career and multiply that by all nurses...simply amazing! http://www.sic.edu/audience/alumni-foundation/carlas-wings-of-a-butterfly-adn-scholarship Carla absolutely LOVED butterflies and saw them as ultimate freedom, hence the name. :)
In the Fall of 2016, we gave the initial scholarship for the 2016-17 academic year and want to grow the scholarship endowment so that deserving students will be awarded for years to come.
Sometimes it can be hard to raise money for charities via conventional donation channels so I've set-up this GoFundMe to bring "heightened" awareness to her scholarship and, hopefully, vastly grow the amount of overall donations so that more scholarships can be given to aspiring nursing students.
I miss Carla terribly and not a single day passes that I don't think of her. My love for her knows no limits - in February of 2017, I'm climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa as I figure I'm that much closer to her at the 19,340′ summit where I'll take a photo holding my banner "Hi, Carla - Wish You Were Here" and post it on this site once I'm back home. "Kili" is the tallest freestanding mountain (not part of a mountain range) in the world and nicknamed the "Roof of Africa".

More than 50% of all climbers fail to reach the summit, but I plan to make it for Carla.
