On September 5, 2021, Jayla was involved in a tragic ATV accident. The 4 wheeler rolled over several times severing her right hand in half, and shattering her forearm and radius. She has undergone 5 surgeries so far, and her surgeons have recommended amputating her right hand entirely. It is truly a miracle only her right hand and arm were affected by the accident, although she still has a long painful road to recovery.
