Recovery

Today (Feb 9th 2021) was a rough day for a lot of us. A very passionate community lost a lot. A lot of time, effort, money, trail, error, luck all lost for a large portion of the car community. 
Our shop burned down due to a currently unknown reason. I gave up watching when I saw firefighters break down our door, kneel down and fight a blazing fire. 
I recently changed career paths and thousands of dollars worth of automotive technician tools (all my own money invested) were moved into the shop for safe keeping...

This was our hideaway. Somewhere to discuss cars, their differences, their similarities, driving ethics (both on the road and the track), driving idols, and the list goes on. We learned so much turning wrenches and bouncing ideas.

I stood there with those same friends as we watched all of our hard work and dedication burn to the ground while (and rightfully so) police and firefighters stopped us from attempting to salvage anything.

5 years. 5 years this month I owned that car. I treated it like a queen. Early services, high quality parts, high quality fluids, hours on hours on maintaining it alone. I did not let that car see winter since I got it, I really did care that much. I met the most amazing people through the car community through these years and I've learned about more than just cars.
