Hello,
We’re a group of passionate medical students from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MSUCOM), and proud members of the International Osteopathic Medicine Organization. This year, we’re preparing for a medical mission to San José, Costa Rica—driven by a shared goal to support underserved communities and make a lasting impact on global health.
We’re reaching out to ask for your support in making this mission a reality.
Our team will be working directly with refugees who have fled difficult circumstances in neighboring countries. Many of them lack access to basic medical care, and our goal is to provide not only treatment and medications, but also a sense of hope and dignity. This mission is about more than healthcare—it’s about showing up for people who need it most.
Here’s how your donation can help:
-Medical Supplies & Medications:
Your support allows us to purchase essential medications and medical supplies to treat everything from infections and chronic diseases to basic wound care.
-Community Education & Outreach:
Beyond treating illness, we aim to empower communities through education—sharing practical tools and knowledge about hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention to support long-term wellness.
-Sustainable Healthcare Partnerships:
We’re committed to making our work count beyond this trip. That means collaborating with local healthcare providers and community leaders to build lasting systems and capacity for care.
Every contribution—big or small—will directly support our work and help us bring quality care to those who need it most.
Thank you for considering a donation. Your generosity helps us take one step closer to creating meaningful change in Costa Rica and beyond.
Pura Vida,
The MSUCOM International Osteopathic Medicine Team
