As some of you are aware our lovely friend, Melissa has been struggling with long COVID. In February 2022, while working at Fox, Melissa contracted Covid-19 and struggled to recover. It quickly became apparent that she was dealing with the debilitating effects of long Covid.

After almost 3 years, she has lost her job at Fox, been unable to work, and has simultaneously been fighting her insurance over coverage on long term disability. Melissa deals with a host of unpredictable symptoms every day. Along with the diagnosis of Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, she retains Post Exertional Malaise, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, Dysautonomia, Orthostatic Hypotension, severe fatigue, dizziness, and a racing heart rate at any given time of the day. As you can imagine, with all of these symptoms, it makes playing the flute or holding any other job impossible.
